How fulfillment onboarding works

A controlled start creates a more dependable operation.

The goal is not to move fast enough to inherit hidden problems. It is to understand the work, define ownership, and launch with the details under control.

The onboarding process

Five steps from first call to steady operation.

01

Operating discovery

We document order sources, product and packaging requirements, volumes, service expectations, integrations, exceptions, and ownership.

02

Solution design

We translate the requirements into an operating plan covering receiving, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, communication, and escalation.

03

Validation and onboarding

We confirm data, process steps, responsibilities, and launch criteria before moving work into the operation.

04

Controlled launch

We begin against an agreed plan, monitor the workflow closely, and resolve early exceptions with clear ownership.

05

Ongoing operation

We keep communication close to the work and use real operating feedback to improve the process deliberately.

Before go-live

Important decisions should be made before orders depend on them.

The onboarding process turns assumptions into an agreed operating plan. These are some of the areas both teams work through together.

01

Data and systems

How orders, products, inventory, shipment updates, and reporting move between your team and ours.

02

Operating rules

Receiving standards, order logic, packaging, shipping methods, approvals, and the requirements that cannot be left ambiguous.

03

Communication

Day-to-day contacts, escalation paths, exception ownership, reporting rhythm, and how decisions will be documented.

After launch

Onboarding ends. Ownership does not.

A dependable operation needs attention after the first orders ship. We stay close to the work, use real operating feedback, and address recurring issues at the process level.

  • Monitor the live workflow and surface exceptions early
  • Keep responsibilities and escalation paths clear
  • Review recurring friction instead of normalizing it
  • Improve deliberately as products, channels, and volumes change

The first conversation

What to have ready before you call.

You do not need a perfect brief. A rough picture of these areas is enough to tell whether we are a good fit and to give you an accurate fulfillment quote. Anything you do not know yet, we work out together during discovery.

  • What you sell: product types, sizes, weights, and any special handling
  • Where orders come from: your store, marketplaces, or your own system
  • Rough order volume per month and your busiest seasons
  • How orders should be packed: boxes, inserts, kits, or branded packaging
  • Which shipping options your customers are promised
  • What is not working today, if you already use a fulfillment partner

Connections and costs

Getting started should not cost you before it saves you.

01

Your store connects directly

We connect to Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, Walmart, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Adobe Commerce, and dozens of other carts and marketplaces. If your system is custom, we integrate through our API. Orders flow in automatically and tracking flows back to your customers.

02

No setup fees or minimums

There are no setup fees, no minimums, and no account processing fees. Inventory sent with an advance ship notice is received at no charge. Fulfillment rates start at $1.25 per order.

03

A live view of your account

Once you are live, the client portal shows your orders, inventory, and shipments as they move, so you can answer customer questions without waiting on us.

A better operating relationship

Start with the truth about the operation.

The better we understand the work and its constraints, the more useful the first conversation will be.
